About us

The SI2D workshop (Information and Decision Systems and Democracy in organisations), created in 2017, is a research group whose members come from a variety of disciplines, including computer science, economics, law, mathematics, management and sociology.

The group examines the links between digital information systems and organisational functioning, particularly with regard to organisational democracy and working conditions involving digital tools.

Taking a global perspective, the SI2D workshop supports democratic dialogue around digital technology in organisations, improving working conditions and supporting organisational democracy.

The workshop therefore focuses on IT ethics in the broadest sense.

The SI2D workshop conducts ‘traditional’ research by organising seminars, publishing articles and presenting at conferences.

However, since its inception, the workshop has also aimed to produce concrete tools that can improve well-being and citizenship within organisations and encourage/support the democratisation of organisations.

The ISIDOR and APIDOR methods are part of this ambition.
